Modernizing an Iconic Streetwear Brand for Digital Commerce
BRADIENT supported Karl Kani with a modern eCommerce refresh focused on design, Shopify development, lifecycle marketing, and digital growth strategy. The project brought together clean editorial design, custom Shopify enhancements, Klaviyo lifecycle planning, and performance marketing infrastructure to help strengthen the brand’s online experience.
The Challenge
Karl Kani needed a cleaner, more elevated digital experience that better reflected the legacy and cultural relevance of the brand. The existing eCommerce experience required design refinement, improved navigation, stronger mobile presentation, and a more intentional foundation for customer engagement across email, paid media, and product launches.
The goal was to create a sharper, more premium shopping experience while preserving the brand’s streetwear identity and cultural credibility.

Our Approach
BRADIENT worked across design, development, marketing systems, and strategic planning to improve the Karl Kani digital ecosystem. The approach focused on simplifying the customer journey, refining the visual presentation, improving Shopify functionality, and introducing a more data-driven marketing foundation.
The result was a cleaner, more editorial storefront experience supported by stronger backend systems, lifecycle marketing direction, and growth-focused recommendations.
Design & Website Development
The website was refreshed with a minimal, high-end visual direction inspired by editorial fashion and luxury commerce experiences. BRADIENT helped move the site toward a cleaner look with stronger product presentation, improved spacing, responsive layouts, and a more polished mobile and desktop experience.
Key design and development work included Shopify theme updates, custom component development, improved navigation structure, portrait-oriented product grid refinements, updated branding assets, and utility features such as a custom size guide.
The experience was designed to feel cleaner, faster, and easier to shop while giving the brand more flexibility for future product drops, campaigns, and seasonal updates.
Email Marketing & Lifecycle Strategy
BRADIENT reviewed the Klaviyo setup and identified opportunities to strengthen customer retention and lifecycle communication. The strategy included recommendations for automated flows such as post-purchase thank-you messages, cross-sell emails, win-back campaigns, browse abandonment, and cart abandonment recovery.
Email templates were also approached with a mobile-first, editorial style to move away from static promotional layouts and create a stronger visual connection between product, brand story, and customer engagement.
